John Uustal won, right out of law school, a record-setting fifty-million-dollar verdict. He has won some of the largest verdicts ever against the most powerful companies in the world and has — on multiple occasions — uncovered confidential corporate documents, making international news and appearing on 60 Minutes, CNN, the Today Show, FOX News, and in People magazine and The New York Times. He was asked to give the keynote speech at the national Mensa conference and honored as lawyer of the year by America’s Best Lawyers, a publication started at the Harvard Law Review.
Uustal co-founded the Trial School, a free trial academy with thousands of members, to teach lawyers the skills needed to make a real difference in how we live, and he hosts a nationwide book club to inspire them to do just that. He specializes in cases that supposedly can’t be won.
These cases have saved thousands of lives by forcing recalls and re-designs, including safer fuel tanks, safer medical care, and safer equipment for firefighters.
